She Ready Foundation is always excited when our founder, Tiffany Haddish, does Story Time and this time was no exception. On August 19th, Tiffany created ripples of joy and hope to hundreds of youth in the San Jose area by visiting the local library and reading.
The library was always a safe space for Tiffany when she was growing up. “I love to read and learn and the library is a great place to do that,” Tiffany shared. Tiffany's journey from adversity to triumph serves as an empowering backdrop and reminder that stories have the power to shape lives and light the path to a brighter future.
After reading her children’s book, Layla the Last Black Unicorn, Tiffany took questions from the kids in the audience. The library, typically a place of quiet contemplation, buzzed with excitement as the children raised their hands and connected with the author and her book.
Of course, Tiffany couldn’t leave without one of the most important aspects of going to the library…. She got a new library card! Way to go Tiffany and way to go San Jose youth. We Ready!
