The She Ready Foundation wants YOU to volunteer. Sign up to be one of our volunteers with our program partners or directly with the foundation.
She Ready x CASA/LA
She Ready x CASA/LA volunteers will be trained and paired with a child in the foster care system to ensure they have the services and support needed in the areas important to all children, including a stable home, education, and healthcare. There are more than 30,000 kids in the foster care system in Los Angeles and many need the support of a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteer. Being a CASA is such a rewarding experience and you don’t need any fancy degrees or titles to make a positive impact in the life of a child. Join Us!
Eligibility Criteria:
¨ I am 21 years old (or I will be turning 21 years old before the conclusion of training)
¨ I agree to complete an extensive background check
¨ I agree to list my entire criminal history including: arrests, charges, and convictions, even if the charge was dismissed and/or expunged. (Not all criminal charges are an automatic bar from service; applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Talk to a recruitment coordinator for any questions.)

¨ I am not currently fostering a child/youth in Los Angeles County
¨ I agree to complete the required 40 hours of training
